About

Alyssa made her first quilt in 2015 for a close friend - a simple flannel patchwork with a silky border. Each subsequent quilt was an opportunity to try a new skill, a new technique, a new pattern. She started testing designer patterns in 2019, assisting in the editing process before their public release. She’s now made dozens of quilts for friends and family and the occasional random-yet-awesome connection. Colliding interests of quilting and the outdoors, coupled with terrible indoor lighting of a Portland rental home, many quilts are photographed while out adventuring, creating a juxtaposition of a beautifully made textile in a raw, natural landscape.

Alyssa works full-time deep in data at a PR agency and has a passion for working with her hands - making quilts and handmade clothes, natural dyeing fabrics, refinishing furniture, and renovating her small cabin in central Oregon. When not tied to a computer or at a sewing table, get this lady outside.
