Christmas Joy WIP

This modern yet traditional quilt pattern struck me the first time I saw it. It was also the perfect pattern for a classic red and white quilt, a style that has always piqued my interest. The backing is a blue-green plaid flannel, knowing its seasonal use was likely going to be in the winter months. A wool batting fills the quilt sandwich to create a cozy textured look and feel. It is currently being hand quilted… yes, still… since the materials used created an extremely tricky situation for machine quilting. I’ll be sure to update this post upon completion! The shimmery gold binding that has already been cut is going to be like putting the star on top of a Christmas tree.
