This bold, minimalist quilt is the first queen sized quilt I have made. The large pieces so lovely capture the skyline feel of a metropolis area. The colors of window-covered buildings in a city vary in brightness depending on their angle towards the sun, the tint of the glass, and their position in front of or behind other buildings. The shadows depicted by the angled blocks at the bottom of the quilt drape off the foot of the bed beautifully. Regardless of whether you see this as buildings, fountains of water, a cascading waterfall... the varied blues create a calm palette atop a warm, neutral linen background.
