Flannel Patchwork for Danny

The first official quilt I have ever sewn is made of flannel fabric on both the top and back. To reduce bulk and warmth, no internal batting was used. Squares of solids and coordinating prints don the front, while a bold zigzag print spreads horizontally across the back. Inspired by my favorite blanket as a child, a silk binding wraps around the perimeter. Cornerstones were added to extend the length of the binding and is a cute pop of the zigzag print.

This quilt was gifted to a coworker who was expecting her first child. For better or worse, most of the techniques used were all my own.
