Leo's Road Trip quilt was pieced with a neutral palette of geometric patterns and a green accent of super cute wild animals. Quilting with monofilament thread using a stitch-in-the-ditch method creates an invisible textured look. The mint binding gives a subtle pop of color to the monochrome zigzag back and plays into the fun prints on the front. The leftover binding was efficiently used as gift wrapping.

This quilt was made for a close friend who was expecting her first child. Since I live across the country, I wanted to send a special gift that would be able to snuggle with her kiddo as much as I wanted to myself.
