Lucy's Road Trip quilt features a simple yet versatile design with a timeless watercolor triangle fabric, the inspiration for the coordinating fabrics. A saturated green backing creates visual weight to an otherwise lighter palette and compliments the orange binding. Embroidery tassels add texture across the quilt top and a distraction for busy little fingers.

This was one of the first times using a quilt pattern and was a gift to a close friend in celebration of her first child. Lucky for me, I was able to deliver this quilt in person. Seven years later, I snapped a few photos of it when I went to visit - I love how it has worn over the years.
