This small wall hanging presents a large scale oval peace sign, consisting of a beautiful pink and green floral print with a white background. A darker shade of green borders the quilt which was hand sewn on the back. The custom quilting design is a 2x4 grid pattern, centered in the middle of the quilt, followed by 60 degree diagonal lines crossing in the center of each quilted rectangle. This quilt pattern was creatively constructed with minimal waste. To honor and continue that method, a thoughtful improv piecing technique was used on the back, using the last bits of leftover fabric from the front as well as a few complimentary scraps from my stash. The back is just as cool as the front, so no corner pockets were sewn (typically used for a dowel hanging method). The recommended hanging technique is to use two clips near the top corners of the quilt, so you can flip whenever you'd like a change of scenery. The hand stitching offers a lovely texture to the binding on the back side.
