This chambray button-down top features a rad mini quilt on the back. Pieces of my most prized fabric prints were used to create the quilt design. A gray-white pinstripe was used for the narrow strips between the blocks, meticulously cut and sewn to keep the pinstripes straight. This technique was also used for the border of the block. Diagonal quilting lines secure the block directly to the back of the shirt; two quilting lines secure the border. My quilt label was sewn to the inside where the quilting lines are also beautifully visible. The shirt was thrifted, appears to be only lightly worn, and was washed by me before adding the quilt block. This is the first of more-to-come quilted wearables.
