Tiger Lily for Tanner
This crib quilt features four blocks, each sewn together with a 90* turn from the next. Cool fabrics of various blue hues reveal the quilt block shapes while a warm natural linen fills the background. The backing is covered with brightly color bugs, a fun visual element for curious little minds. The quilting features a curvy S design flowing diagonally across this square quilt. The quilt's recipient's name, Tanner, was hand embroidered on the back left corner.
This quilt was made for my nephew whose older brother has a coordinating Tiger Lily quilt of his own. Just like his brother's, it's also the backdrop for a selfie photo each time we meet up.
I don't often repeat quilt patterns, but upon special request of my sister, I made this quilt for each of her boys. I kept the same linen background, but made each and every other aspect of the quilt with a different type of detail so their quilts are just as unique and they are alike.
